Nadeshiko League Eighth Round

JEF United Ichihara Chiba Ladies  0 - 2  Iga FC Kunoichi
(Attendance: 269)

JEF United's good start to the season has faltered and with their latest defeat by Iga have now not won in five games. In contrast, the Kunoichi have now won three in succession and find themselves in fourth position.

Two goals a few minutes either side of half-time decided the contest, Kiyohara and Nasu both scoring their first of the season, and with JEF United making no impression on the visitors' goal, Sawada Norimi had a relatively comfortable time in goal.

Iga now look to consolidate their good position heading into the summer. A win over Urawa will see them jump to at least third, with second a less likely outcome. JEF United host Niigata who are now one point ahead of them in sixth.

(Attendance: 1,687)

FC Kibi's largest ever crowd saw the home side make a dream start in the first Okayama derby as Nishikawa Asuka scored her first goal of the season in the sixth minute. The students were not able to add to this goal and in the second half Belle came back strongly, with Matsuoka Miki scoring twice in three minutes to swing the game around. Kado Yuka and Arimachi Saori made it 4-1 with seven minutes remaining. Direct from the kickoff following the fourth goal a nasty clash of heads between Nishikawa and Kado left both hospitalised. INAC Kobe Leonessa  4 - 2  NTV Beleza
(Attendance: 6,401)

Beverly Goebel-Yanez returned to the starting lineup for INAC Kobe as they faced nearest rivals Beleza in Kobe today. For Beleza Sakaguchi Mizuho made her first start of the season and Doko Mayo also returned following a one game absence.

It was Goebel-Yanez who scored the first of the afternoon, heading home Kawasumi's cross powerfully, to give her eight goals for the season.

The score remained at 1-0 to the home side until the final twelve minutes, in which five more goals were scored. Takase Megumi headed home a Ji free kick for INAC's second, but Tanaka Mina scored sensational form in taking the ball from midfield and scoring with an unstoppable shot from outside the area.

Ji So Yun scored one herself just a minute later to restore the two goal lead, with some marvellous footwork down the left wing, cutting inside and scoring past Soyama.

Tanaka Mina still wasn't giving up and straight from the kickoff she scored another fine goal to give Beleza hope of an equaliser with under eight minutes remaining. Although they kept pushing for an equaliser, it was INAC who had the last say. Nakajima found Kawasumi down the right wing and her ball across the box found Tanaka Yoko who couldn't miss.

Beleza next host Vegalta Sendai in Akita with the winners going into the summer in second place. INAC Kobe visit FC Kibikokusaidaigaku Charme fully expecting a comfortable win to give them a 100% record with half the season played.
