FC Kibikokusaidaigaku Charme retain their place in the Nadeshiko League for 2014
FC Kibikokusaidaigaku Charme 0 - 1 Sfida Setagaya FC (1-1 on aggregate aet)
FC Kibikokusaidaigaku Charme win 5-4 on penalties
(Attendance: 872)
Kibi made one change for their final home game of the season, bringing in their top scorer Hamamoto Marin for Kurakazu Shiho. Setagaya, who were desperate to improve from their home loss, brought in Kawashima Tamai and Tanaka Mariko, with Shano Miki and Usuda Haruka dropping to the bench. Kibi did most of the attacking in the first half, with good chances for Shigemasa Kai and Takahashi Chiho just going wide the closest they came. Setagaya improved defensively, repeatedly catching Kibi's attackers offside and the home side couldn't find the breakthrough. In the second half Setagaya came out strongly and Tanaka Marina scored in the fiftieth minute to level the tie on aggregate. Both sides now knew that one goal would be enough, but neither could find it. Setagaya did more of the attacking but their shots were wayward for the most part, though they did hit the woodwork on occasion. Inevitably the game went into twenty minutes of extra time, and then to a penalty shoot-out. Setagaya went first, and it was Kawashima who struck their first penalty against the post. Kibi missed none of theirs and it was defender Kamata Ran who scored the final decisive penalty to win the tie and keep her side in the Nadeshiko League for another sesaon. Setagaya fought hard, especially considering their poor performance at home last weekend, and will have to try again in what will be another extremely competitive Challenge League. For their part, Kibi will hope to attract talented schoolgirls to the university for the start of next season.

Nadeshiko League Promotion/Relegation Playoff First Leg
Sfida Setagaya FC 0 - 1 FC Kibikokusaidaigaku Charme
(Attendance: 1,259)
FC Kibikokusaidaigaku Charme made an impressive claim to continuiung their Nadeshiko League status as they out-fought and out-played Sfida Setagaya in the first leg of their play-off in Tokyo today. From kickoff, Kibi looked to attack with ferocious intent, and Setagaya seemed unable to deal with their tough opponents. Not helping their cause was very poor defensive play on their left side, where time and again Kibi found time and space to attack, almost without challenge. Nishikawa Asuka was in very combative form and the Setagaya defenders couldn't cope with her speed and strength, as she beat the opposition to every fifty-fifty ball, and twice had good chances to score down Setagaya's left. Shigemasa Kai was Kibi's right-sided midfielder and she too was repeatedly allowed to attack without challenge, and eventually in the 38th minute decided to have a go herself and scored with a marvellous shot from outside the area. Setagaya had tried to knock the ball into the Kibi area for their forwards to attack but with Takahashi Chiho completely dominant in the air, this tactic was quickly abandoned.
In the second half Setagaya began to defend their left side more effectively, but still they showed little real quality going forward. One or two chances did present themselves, but the Kibi defence were outstanding, with Isashi Kaede showing calmness and courage in goal. Better chances fell to Kibi, and they will be disappointed not to have scored at least one. Yoshitake Manami shot straight into Kawaguchi's arms and the Setagaya goalkeeper also kept out a rasping shot from Nishikawa.
Kibi picked up three yellow cards as the game became scrappy in the closing stages, with Setagaya desperate to find a winner. Ultimately, Kibi had a Nadeshiko League season's worth of nous and had no real trouble in dealing with everything thrown at them. The two teams meet again next Sunday in Kakogawa, with Sfida Setagaya needing to make serious improvements if they are to be promoted.

Challenge League Attendances in 2013
The 2012 Challenge League season's average attendance of 468 was never likely to be matched in 2013, as the hugely popular Vegalta Sendai Ladies were promoted at the end of the season. Without the appeal of Vegalta Sendai, the 2013 average of 279 appears to be a disappointing drop, but in fact is a generally good average, especially with the expansion to sixteen teams. The highest attendance came on opening day, 1,682 turning up to watch Sfida Setagaya take on Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies. The lowest attendance was 30, which was the number of people who turned up to see Hoyo Sukarabu FC's home game aginst Bunnys Kyoto SC.
AS Elfen Sayama FC had the highest average attendance of any team, 673 for their season, which was higher than that which they achieved in the Nadeshiko League in 2011 (their 2012 average was 1,212). Their highest attendance was 1,225 which came in their very last match against Fukuoka J. Anclas. The team's lowest attendance was 292 which came in their second home game against the Japan Soccer College Ladies.
Sfida Setagaya FC finished with an average attendance of 640, a significant improvement over the 428 which they achieved in 2012 and the average of 350 achieved in their first season in 2011. Just as in 2012, their first home game attendance of 1,682 (against Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies) was by far their highest. Indeed, it was the highest attendance of any game in the Challenge League. Again, just as in 2012, their subsequent attendances dropped sharply. Their lowest attendance of 362 came for their game against Shimizu Daihachi Pleiades.
AC Nagano Parceiro Ladies' average was 470, which is their highest ever. Their season's best of 711 against Shimizu Daihachi Pleiades was also their highest ever home attendance. Their lowest attendance of 290 came against Ehime FC Ladies. However, this attendance was higher than that of every game in 2012, with the exception of their home game against Vegalta Sendai Ladies, which attracted 407. On six occasions this season that attendance was surpassed, and the team's progress in this area will please the club enormously.
Fukuoka J. Anclas managed an average attendance of 449. Although this appears to be a significant drop from the 894 the club achieved in 2012, that figure was inflated by a very large attendance for their opening home game against INAC Kobe Leonessa. Taking only their remaining eight games into consideration, their average in 2012 was 566. Their highest attendance of 953 came in their crucial final home game against Nojima Stella Kanagawa. Their lowest attendance of 113 came on a rainy day against Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies.
Nojima Stella Kanagawa had the fifth highest average attendance of any team at 343, which in their first year will be very pleasing. 501 turned up for their third home game against local rivals Nittaidai FC Ladies, although attendances dropped quite a bit towards the end of the season as their title challenge faltered. Their lowest attendance of 164 came against Ehime FC Ladies. With the team likely to challenge next year for Nadeshiko League entry, the club will look to increase its fanbase in Kanagawa, especially with the possibility of Yokohama FC Seagulls entering the Challenge League.
Ehime FC Ladies' average of 308 was a slight but disappointing drop from their first season's average of 346, although it has to be taken into account that all of their attendance figures are estimates. Their highest attendance came on the opening day of the season in a win over Bunnys Kyoto SC. None of their subsequent games attracted more than 380, and their lowest of 200 came against AC Nagano Parceiro Ladies.
Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies ended with an average of 269 in their first season, with their attendances dropping off as the season went on. Their second home game against Bunnys Kyoto SC attracted 460, the highest number of spectators for the season. Their final home game against Shizuoka Sangyo University Iwata Bonita was attended by only 136.
Je Vrille Kagoshima's average of 217 was quite decent, considering both that entry was not free and that the team was so poor. It was however their lowest average in any of their last six seasons in the Challenge League, and a significant decrease since the high of 672 in 2009. Their highest attendance came in a game they could not afford to lose against fellow strugglers Shimizu Daihachi Pleiades (they did lose, as it happens). Their lowest attendance was 156 which came against Nittaidai FC Ladies.
Shizuoka Sangyo University Iwata Bonita managed to increase their average from 169 in 2012 to 189 in 2013 which although an encouraging increase, is still down on their average of 248 from their first season in 2010. They broke 300 once this year, attracting 303 for their game against AS Elfen Sayama FC. Their lowest came against bottom side Hoyo Sukarabu FC.
Bunnys Kyoto SC's average this season is 160. This figure is down on last season's of 182, but not significantly. Bunnys have never attracted large crowds, and even when in the top division only managed an average of 298 (in 2005). Their attendances are all estimates, the highest being 250 for a game against Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies and the lowest being 70 for their game against the Japan Soccer College Ladies.
Tokiwagi Gakuen High School's average of 142 was down on the 174 from 2012, but that average from last season was only so high because of the large attendance of 800 from their home derby game against Vegalta Sendai Ladies. This year's attendances were occasionally boosted by spectators attending JFL games in adjoining grounds. All of the Tokiwagi Gakuen attendances are estimates. On three occasions the attendance was estimated to be 200, first against Hoyo Sukarabu FC when some JFL fans attended, next against Sfida Setagaya, and finally against the Japan Soccer College Ladies, when the game was followed by a Vegalta Sendai Ladies home game. The lowest attendance of 70 came on the opening day against AC Nagano Parceiro Ladies, on a very cold and wet day when Vegalta Sendai Ladies were also playing at home, but not at the same location. One anomaly is that the team's home game against Ehime FC Ladies was postponed due to snow and when rescheduled was held in Ehime rather than in Miyagi. The attendance was 120.
Shimizu Daihachi Pleiades' average of 137 was poor for a club of such great history, indeed this figure is down significantly on the averages the club achieved in their previous spell in the league until they were relegated in 2010. Their highest attendance of 184 came against the Japan Soccer College Ladies, and their lowest of 78 came against Fukuoka J. Anclas.
The JFA Academy Fukushima's average was slightly down on 2012, from 150 to 143, though they're not likely to be too interested in this statistic. They attracted 270 to their match against Nojima Stella Kanagawa, where the presence of recent graduate Yoshimi Natsuki may have helped the attendance. On the final day, 223 watched Tokiwagi Gakuen High School win the league title. Their lowest attendance came against fellow schoolgirls Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies.
The Japan Soccer College Ladies' average of 129 was slightly down on the 133 achieved in 2012, though like the JFA Academy, won't be too bothered by the low numbers attending. Their highest of 232 came against AS Elfen Sayama FC, most likely bolstered by visitors from Sayama, and their lowest came against Shizuoka Sangyo University Iwata Bonita. The total of 80 that day was only slightly bettered in their subsequent three games, with attendances of 89, 86, and again 86. Their final day attendance was better, at 178.
Nittaidai FC Ladies had the lowest average attendance of any of the academic sides at 106, with their highest attendance of 270 coming early in the season, an entertaining draw against AS Elfen Sayama FC. Their other home attendances were all quite low, with the lowest being just 43, against Shizuoka Sangyo University Iwata Bonita.
Hoyo Sukarabu FC ended the season with an average of just 82, as they struggled all season. Their opening game had an estimated number of spectators of 130, but this was the high point. That game was against Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies, while their lowest attendance of 30, the lowest of any game in the league, came against Bunnys Kyoto SC.
AS Elfen Sayama FC had the highest average attendance of any team, 673 for their season, which was higher than that which they achieved in the Nadeshiko League in 2011 (their 2012 average was 1,212). Bunnys Kyoto SC versus Shizuoka Sangyo University Iwata Bonita (Challenge League Twenty-First Round)
Bunnys Kyoto SC 1 - 1 Shizuoka Sangyo University Iwata Bonita
(Attendance: 120)
Bunnys Kyoto came into this game with an opportunity to move up to eleventh in the table with a win, while for Shizuoka Sangyo their final position of sixth had already been determined, as they started the game four points behind Fukuoka J. Anclas.
Shizuoka Sangyo took the lead very early, captain Sayama Momoko heading in a free kick after three minutes, her ninth goal of the season. Bunnys found themselves level on twenty minutes, with their top scorer this season Kushige Aoi scoring her eighth of a fine season since moving from Fukuoka J. Anclas. Both sides had chances thereafter but neither could make any further breakthrough, thus the points were shared and both sides will be reasonably pleased to have ended the season with a draw.
Shizuoka Sangyo have had a good season and can build on what they have achieved for another promotion push next season; Bunnys Kyoto will need reinforcements, especially up front, if they are to have any chance of progress in 2014.

Challenge League Final Round
JFA Academy Fukushima 0 - 1 Tokiwagi Gakuen High School
(Attendance: 223)
An enthralling game in Gotenba saw Tokiwagi Gakuen win the Challenge League title with a goal from Nishikawa Ayaka six minutes from time. Starting the game a point ahead of free-scoring Sayama, Tokiwagi knew that they had to win to ensure that they could not be overtaken on the final day, but the Academy were not going to let them have it their own way, and the game was evenly matched.
With Sayama pulling away easily from Fukuoka, Tokiwagi were in real danger of losing out, but as always they kept playing their usual slick passing style and finally, it paid off, with Nishikawa sticking it into the net following a scramble in the box.
Tokiwagi Gakuen thus win the Challenge League by a single point, having won twenty of their twenty-two matches. Sasaki Miwa finished as their top scorer with fourteen goals, followed by Ito Miki and Shiraki Akari on thirteen. Nishikawa's late goal was her tenth of the season.
For the Academy Kojijma Miku had another stunning season, and she scored thirteen, well clear of all other players, and finished for the second successive season with the highest goals-to-shots ratio of any player in the division.
Both sides now look forward to the Empress' Cup, and thereafter Tokiwagi Gakuen will look to defend their title in the High School Championships.
JFA Academy Fukushima:
Hirao Chika, Takahira Miyu, Moriya Miyabi, Norimatsu Ruka, Kojima Miku (capt), Ibaraki Mitsuba, Ikeda Mao, Mizutani Yuki, Kadoi Megumi, Okuma Rana, Ueda Yuriko

Scorers: Nishikawa Ayaka (84 mins)
AS Elfen Sayama FC 5 - 1 Fukuoka J. Anclas
(Attendance: 1,225)
A marvellous crowd turned up to watch Sayama's final Challenge League match, still hoping that Tokiagi Gakuen would slip up and that they could snatch the title on the last day. Fukuoka have not been able to match Sayama this season following relegation and may require rebuilding over a number of seasons. Sayama blitzed their guests with three goals in an eight minute period with Ito, Nara and Arakawa giving their side an unassailable 3-0 lead at half time. Arakawa scored twice more in the second half to finish the season with twenty-three goals (Ito scored twenty-two) as all attention was focussed on the latest news from Gotenba, where the JFA Academy were still holding Tokiwagi to a scoreless draw. Fukuoka's most promising young player Hirata Hikari scored a late consolation, as Fukuoka finished a disappointing fifth.
It was not to be for Sayama, Nishikawa's late goal for Tokiwagi Gakuen winning them the title, though for Sayama it really was all about promotion, and they were well clear at the final reckoning. They hope to continue to improve with a combination of veterans and youngsters before the start of their next season in the Nadeshiko League.
AS Elfen Sayama FC:
Yamago Nozomi (capt), Azami Rie, Yajima Yuki, Takahashi Yuko, Kiyohara Yuko, Ito Kanako, Hagiwara Aimi, Ohno Shinobu, Saito Yuri, Arakawa Eriko, Nara Misaki

Unused subs: Kobayashi Maiko
Scorers: Ito Kanako (23 mins), Nara Misaki (24 mins), Arakawa Eriko (31, 60, 90+1 mins)

Je Vrille Kagoshima 1 - 6 Bunnys Kyoto SC
(Attendance: 172)
Je Vrille Kagoshima have had an appalling season, exemplified perfectly by this home drubbing by Bunnys Kyoto SC. Oh Yu Sun has been Kagoshima's most appealing player and she scored again today to take her tally to five. Aside from that, the play was all one-way as Bunnys reached recorded their seventh win of the season. Their scorers were Hanazaki Rena, Saito Natsumi, Kushige Aoi with her seventh of the season, Sawada Yuka and captain Toyoda Nayuha, the former international player who has been at the heart of Bunnys' improvement this season. She will hope to see more players of quality joining the side in the off-season to help them move up the table.
Kagoshima enter a relegation battle against teams from the regional leagues, and do not look strong enough to maintain their Challenge League status.
Je Vrille Kagoshima:
Nakagawa Yoshimi, Sakamoto Ayaka, Hirata Misato, Mok Sun Jung, Murai Kaori, Yamada Kaori, Imanaka Yuri, Saito Toshiko, Mitsudome Kanami, Sannomiya Shiki (capt), Oh Yu Sun

Shizuoka Sangyo University Iwata Bonita 1 - 2 Ehime FC Ladies
(Attendance: 181)
Having beaten some of the sides above them, Shizuoka Sangyo continue to surprise everyone by struggling against those below them.

Sasaki Miwa was back for the schoolgirls while Uemura Shoko came in for the students. At kickoff there was very little rain and Nittaidai were able to repel the incessant attack on their goal. Their sole offensive tactic was to hit the ball long and hope that Uemura's speed would be enough to beat the Tokiwagi defenders. This tactic didn't work, as the home defence was far too shrewd. Entering the second half, the rain which had been quite gentle began to increase in ferocity and the pitch quickly became waterlogged. The long balls to Uemura now had no effect whatsoever and Nittaidai were forced to defend almost constantly. Just when it seemed that Tokiwagi would never get the breakthrough, in the 73rd minute a ball across the face of the goal from Sasaki found Sugihara at the far post and she couldn't miss from close range. Sugihata was again at the centre of the action a few minutes later when she was fouled just inside the box and Hirata Miki stepped up and very coolly scored from the spot to decide the contest.
Tokiwagi Gakuen stay top with a point advantage over Sayama and will win the league next weekend if they beat the JFA Academy away in Gotenba. Nittaidai are at home to near neighbours Sfida Setagaya.

The JFA Academy conceded more than twice for just the second time this season, as Ehime enjoy a late season flourish which may yet result in a top-eight finish. (Attendance: 843)
Ten months after they were relegated from the Nadeshiko League AS Elfen Sayama FC have made it back to the top division with a stronger squad than that with which they were relegated. Their two top scorers, Arakawa Eriko and Ito Kanako, with twenty and twenty-one goals respectively, both having joined from top level teams in the off-season. Arakawa's opening goal in the 13th minute was swiftly equalised by the Challenge League's top scorer Mori Hitomi. In the second half Sayama stepped up the pressure and created far more than their hosts, who still harboured hopes of overtaking Sayama in the race for automatic promotion. With nineteen minutes remaining, Ito got herself on the scoresheet, with Arakawa supplying. Setagaya had no answer, and one of last season's star players, Azami Rie, finished the game off with a third goal eight minutes from time.
Sayama, then, return to the Nadeshiko League with a game to spare, a home match against Fukuoka J. Anclas. Hoyo Sukarabu FC 1 - 2 Shimizu Daihachi Pleiades
(Attendance: 62)
A lively game in Saiki saw Hoyo Sukarabu succumb to the inevitable, as their twentieth loss of the season sees them condemned to a relegation playoff following a miserable first season in the Challenge League. The victors are safe, with a vastly superior goal difference over Kagoshima below them, they can afford to lose to Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies and still retain their league status. The visitors took the lead in the eighth minute through Matsushita Norimi, but Hoyo fought back and scored an equaliser with just their fifth goal of the season. It came from the player whose goal won promotion last season, Kiyosue Chihiro. Hoyo's hopes were short-lived, as Pleiades found the net just four minutes later, captain Kanashiro Wakana with her second goal in as many games. Relief then, for the away side at the final whistle, with nothing but despair for the losers, as their chances of staying in the league seem slim. The sides seeking promotion have yet to be determined, but there does appear to be the quality in the regional leagues to see off Hoyo. Their final game is away to Nojima Stella Kanagawa.

Fukuoka J. Anclas 0 - 2 Nojima Stella Kanagawa
(Attendance: 953)
Fukuoka attracted their largest crowd of the season as they hoped to stay in touch with Sfida Setagaya with just two games remaining. With Setagaya having lost to the now promoted AS Elfen Sayama, a home win would give Fukuoka a one point lead. The home crowd's enthusiasm however, did not translate into quality on the pitch and Fukuoka were thoroughly dominated by the visitors, who took the game to their hosts. The goals didn't arrive until late in the match, the towering Terada Reiko heading in a Yoshida free kick with eleven minutes remaining, with substitute Saito Haruna intercepting a pass and scoring herself on ninety minutes.
Nojima Stella Kanagawa now play on Wednesday, completing their match against Setagaya which was called off just after half-time. They trail by two goals to nil. Their final match is against bottom side Hoyo Sukarabu and they will feel extremely confident of a win. Fukuoka will be eliminated if Setagaya win on Wednesday. Japan Soccer College Ladies 2 - 0 Hoyo Sukarabu FC
(Attendance: 86)
Last season's bottom side the JSCL improved immesurably this season, while in contrast this season's bottom side Hoyo Sukarabu look more and more likely to be relegated, regardless of whom they face in a play-off. It took some time for the JSCL to get the breakthrough though, as Hoyo dug in looking for a scoreless draw. With seven minutes remaining Sasaki Shiori scored from a free kick to give the home side relief, with top scorer Toriumi Mai adding a decisive second in additional time. Toriumi has now equalled her 2012 record of eleven goals, and is determined that in her side's final game against Nagano that she will reach at least twelve. Hoyo now need to beat Pleiades in their next game. Failure to do so means a relegation play-off. A win will take them out of the relegation zone, with goal difference likely to come into play after the final game in such a scenario. However, with such poor form this year, and only four goals having been scored, the most likely outcome is a bottom-placed finish.

Je Vrille Kagoshima 0 - 5 Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies
(Attendance: 213)
Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies tore Kagoshima apart today to leave the hosts in desperate trouble at the bottom. Matsubara Shiho has had a marvellous season for Cerezo, and her hat-trick combined with a first goal of the season for Tamazakura, and a seventh for Nishida, gave the visitors their biggest win of the season. They will finish in thirteenth place in their maiden campaign, well ahead of the bottom three and have a platform now for next season to improve. Their final game is on the final day against Shimizu Daihachi Pleiades, who will be hoping the schoolgirls have an off-day. Kagoshima also next play on the final day. Their opposition is Bunnys, and their only hope realistically is for a win coupled with a draw between the other two sides around them a week earlier.

Nittaidai Football Club Ladies 2 - 3 Ehime FC Ladies
(Attendance: 46)
Nittaidai once again sent their best players to play in the Kanto Universities' League, and once again lost against a side they would normally expect to beat. They had good news in Kitano Rie's scoring of two goals, the second from the spot, but Ehime showed good form and tenacity in coming from 2-0 down to win 3-2, to give themselves much-needed confidence. Ogawa Manami, the smallest player on the pitch, headed in a goal following a Nishigawa corner to make the score 2-1 at half-time, and it was Nishigawa herself who scored twice in the second half to take all three points back to Ehime. They take on the JFA Academy at home on Sunday; Nittaidai will have it tough away to Tokiwagi on the same day.

Shimizu Daihachi Pleiades 2 - 4 Fukuoka J. Anclas
(Attendance: 78)
Pleiades' smallest crowd of the season saw them take an unlikely 2-1 lead over Fukuoka J. Anclas, with the visitors taking the lead in the very first minute through Lee Hae Mi, making a rare starting appearance. Pleiades struck back through Kanashiro from the spot, and top scorer Hamanaka followed up on a mistake from Jung Seul Won in the Anclas goal to give the home side hope of an upset. It was not to be. Anclas had the equaliser before half-time through Ito Chisa, heading in a Doshita free kick for her first of the season. In the second half Anclas restricted Pleiades' attack to the extent that they neither had a shot on goal nor any corner kicks. Fujimoto Yuki added two goals in the final thirty minutes to give the visitors all three points as they chase Sfida Setagaya for the promotion play-off place, with the chance of automatic promotion now gone. AS Elfen Sayama took a huge step towards regaining their Nadeshiko League status following a decisive win over division leaders Tokiwagi Gakuen High School. Two goals in the first half set Sayama on their way, Saito Yuri with the first and Ito Kanako with the second, Ito scoring her twentieth of the season to lead her team in scoring this season.

Bunnys Kyoto have improved in the latter half of the season, and a late goal today rescued a point against the JFA Academy. For the Academy Tachibana scored just before half-time, with Kojima Miku scoring another with nine minutes remaining.

Challenge League Nineteenth Round
Tokiwagi Gakuen High School 6 - 1 Nojima Stella Kanagawa
(Attendance: 150)
Tokiwagi Gakuen High School today brushed aside the challenge of Nojima Stella Kanagawa with the swagger and confidence of a side who believe they can beat anyone. Their passing, movement and shooting were at times mesmerising, and the visitors showed almost no repsonse whatsoever. Ito Miki, diminutive but speedy and determined, once again tore apart an opposing defence down the right and as early as the ninth minute had the schoolgirls in front. Taking the ball from Ichise, she cut inside from the right and powered a shot home past Kobayashi, returned to the starting lineup following a one-match ban.
Nojima responded well, and a through pass found Kinjo and she was through on goal when Fukumura came rushing out of goal and tackled her to give away a free kick, but there was no card shown. Nojima's outstanding Yoshimi Natsuki stepped up and scored her twentieth of the season direct from the free kick. For the next ten minutes Nojima were enthusiastic and seemed to have gotten the measure of Tokiwagi Gakuen, but the home side eventually came back strongly and four minutes before half-time were back in front. Shiraki and Ito combined well and Ito's pass back to Nishikawa saw her lash home her ninth of the season.
In the second half Nojima barely got a touch of the ball, and indeed managed no shots at goal whatsoever, as Tokiwagi Gakuen were simply too much for them in every area of the field. Ito had her second on 57 minutes, Sugihara Haruna providing after a fine interception. Hirata Miki scored a rare goal seven minutes later to wrap things up, though there were two late goals to further emphasise Tokiwagi's domination. Shiraki knew little about her goal, a ricochet off her leg from a Kawasaki cross looping over Kobayshi into the net, and the final goal also was a scrappy goal, Kobayashi failing to deal with Kobayashi Rikako's shot and Mitsuhashi following up to scramble the ball over the line.
Nojima have major work to do over the winter in defence if they are to challenge next year, while Tokiwagi Gakuen look like the complete package this year. Nojima next face Setagaya in a big local derby in Sagamihara on Sunday, while on Saturday Tokiwagi Gakuen travel south to take on Sayama knowing a win will give them their third title in four years, though their two Challenge League East titles would pale into insignificance if they can take the Challenge League title this season.

Bunnys Kyoto SC 2 - 1 Nittaidai Football Club Ladies
(Attendance: 170)
Bunnys Kyoto had a good win over Nittaidai, who once again left many of their top players at home to compete in the Kanto University's League. Bunnys have made enormous improvements in defence from last season, but are still not scoring enough to threaten the top half of the table. Yu Ji Eun scored her first goal of the season to give Bunnys the half-time lead, though shortly after the restart Uchida Misuzu, by far and away Nittaidai's top scorer, equalised off a Kitano Rie through pass. Yamada Maho showed the value of her loan deal as she intercepted a stray pass and shot home the winner just five minutes later to give Bunnys all three points. Bunnys remain twelfth, but have gained on the two sides above them and can still finish in the top ten, with a trip to the JFA Academy next Sunday. On the same day Nittaidai play Ehime, though the likelihood is again that their most impressive players will not take part.

Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies 1 - 2 Shizuoka Sangyo University Iwata Bonita
(Attendance: 136)
Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies came within moments of a fine draw with Shizuoka Sangyo, only for captain Sayama Momoko to once again show her determination with a late goal to give the away side all three points. Shizuoka's top scorer Nishiyama Mei gave her side the lead on 17 minutes, with Maegawa Miki equalising with her first of the season seventeen minutes later. Shizuoka made two changes at half-time and it was the substitute Hirano who found Sayama and her volley found the back of the net to keep her side within touch of the top five. Nine points behind Setagaya and with only three games remaining, the chances of a promotion play-off are now almost non-existant, though Shizuoka are still capable of winning their final three games and of a top five finish. The Cerezo girls are thirteenth and will almost certainly finish in that position. This was their final home game and it attracted the lowest attendance of all of their games, though an overall average of 269 for the season will have pleased the management. They next play Kagoshima while Shizuoka Sangyo host Nagano.

Ehime FC Ladies 1 - 5 AS Elfen Sayama FC
(Attendance: 270)
Nakada Maiko, back in the Ehime starting lineup, gave Sayama a scare midway through the first half of this encounter, with her ninth goal of the season. Ehime's lead lasted barely three minutes though, as Sayama came roaring back through Suzuki Kaoruko, making her very first start following ten substitute appearances this season. In the second half Sayama pulled away to gurantee at least a play-off place come the end of the season. Two penalties were scored by Sayama in the second half, the first by Ito and the second by Muraoka. In between those goals was a brace for Saito Yuri, who is on a good run of form with four goals in as many games. More disappointment for Ehime then, with a difficult trip to play Nittaidai next. All eyes will be on the big game next weekend, the meeting between the top two in Konosu on Saturday evening. A win for Tokiwagi Gakuen guarantees them the title, any other result and the wait is prolonged for at least another week.

Hoyo Sukarabu FC 0 - 3 Je Vrille Kagoshima
(Attendance: 116)
It now looks likely that both Kagoshima and Hoyo will be relegated to the Kyushu League as neither side looks to have enough to crawl out of the bottom two. Despite Kagoshima's win - their first of the season - their goal difference is so poor that they will need something extraordinary to occur for them to overtake Shimizu Daihachi Pleiades. Hoyo Sukarabu look doomed, with only four goals in all games and with tough games to come, their only hope seems to be a victory against Pleiades in two weeks' time. In this game, Oh Yu Sun was the heroine for Kagoshima as she netted twice, with Saito Toshiko scoring the final goal. Kagoshima next take on Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies needing another win, with Hoyo travelling to Niigata to take on the JSC Ladies.

Sfida Setagaya FC 6 - 1 Shimizu Daihachi Pleiades
(Attendance: 362)
Sfida Setagaya moved into third in the table with this very easy win over Shimizu Daihachi Pleiades, though they did surprisingly allow Pleiades to equalise Usuda's opener in the first half. Having reasserted themselves, they eventually pulled away with ease and remain five points behind Sayama in second. Mori Hitomi added another goal to her account to remain the league's top scorer, league debutant Shimojo Aya has been very impressive and scored twice, the first from a free kick. Young Nagasawa Yume also scored a brace in the second half. Setagaya next play local rivals Nojima Stella Kanagawa in a game they cannot afford to lose, with the following game a showdown with Sayama. Pleiades may survive the season despite this defeat, though they are likely to be defeated again next week against Fukuoka. Their focus is now on the following game against Hoyo Sukarabu. A win in that game will almost certainly mean survival.

AC Nagano Parceiro Ladies 0 - 3 JFA Academy Fukushima
(Attendance: 327)
Having already taken the lead in the 14th minute, the Academy's task was made all the easier when Nagano's ever-present Hamagaki Kana was sent off in first half additional time for a second bookable offence. The Academy had made seven changes for this fixture, bringing back all of their prominent players, and they made light work of the home side. By the time of the sending off they were 1-0 up, Kadoi Megumi with her third goal in just her second appearance this year. After the break the always reliable Norimatsu Ruka and Kojima Miku added goals to make the scoreline emphatic. Kojima now has a shots-to-goals ratio of 50%, and is likely to end this season top of this rankings, just as she did in 2012. The Academy take on Bunnys next week at home, with Nagano away to Shizuoka Sangyo.

Fukuoka J. Anclas 1 - 0 Japan Soccer College Ladies
(Attendance: 286)
In a game of very few chances in poor weather in Kurume, Fukuoka finally got the breakthrough through an own goal in the 56th minute, though credit must be given to Fujimoto Yuki whose fine play down the right created the chance. Fukuoka stay in contention but are now reliant on other teams beating Setagaya in order for them to make the play-off spot. They next travel to Shizuoka to take on Pleiades in a game they'll certainly expect to win; the JSCL are at home to bottom side Hoyo. They remain eleventh after this defeat.
