L.League 1995

The 1995 L.League season was squeezed into a much shorter period due to the FIFA Women's World Cup, held in Sweden in June. It ran from August 17th until December 24th.

A change from 1994 was that matches now lasted a full ninety minutes. The rules regarding the extra period of twenty minutes of sudden death V-Goal (Golden Goal) extra time and penalty shoot-out remained.

Matsushita Denki LSC Bambina were renamed as Matsushita Denki Panasonic Bambina.
Fujita Tendai SC Mercury were renamed as Fujita Soccer Club Mercury.
Asahi Kokusai Bunnys were renamed as Takarazuka Bunnys Ladies.

In the tables below, scorelines in parentheses indicate the results of penalty shoot-outs. Games decided as a result of a V-Goal are indicated by vg. In the league tables, the 90 mins column indicates the number of victories achieved in the normal ninety minute period.

The final deciding match for the championship was due to be played on January 13th, 1996. Since Prima Ham FC Kunoichi won both stages, this match was unnecessary and thus Prima Ham won their first league title (as of 2014 they are called Iga FC Kunoichi).

TOKYO SHiDAX LSC withdrew from the league and were dissolved. They were therefore replaced by the winners of the JLSL Challenge League, OKI Lady Thunders.

The overall final standings are shown below. Suzuyo are ranked ahead of Matsushita as a result of having won more games in the regulation ninety minutes. Fujita, Shiroki and Tasaki are ranked according to goal difference.
