JEF United Ichihara Chiba Ladies  1 - 0  Speranza FC Osaka Takatsuki

(Attendance: 1,213)

Both sides went into this game full of determination to win, as the victors would take a significant step away from relegation worries. Urawa started with fierce attacking intensity, and it seemed that it would be only a matter of time before they would make the breakthrough. Eventually in the 14th minute Goto Michi scored, and Kibi's defence fell apart, with two more goals coming in the next five minutes, Goto scoring again with another from Kishikawa in between. Kibi had little option but to attack as much as possible themselves and to hope for the best, and having steadied themselves got back into the game with a fine goal from Sugita Ami just before half-time. In the 68th minute Noma Fumika scored her first of the season, latching on to a Takano free kick, and Urawa started to panic a little at the back. Despite their best attempts, Kibi couldn't find an equaliser and at the other end Urawa always looked dangerous. With time running out, Urawa were content to run down the clock and were elated upon the final whistle to have picked up three precious points.
