Nadeshiko League Sixteenth Round

NTV Beleza  1 - 0  INAC Kobe Leonessa
(Attendance: 2,301)

A good move down the right led to Kiryu Nanase scoring the only goal in the 24th minute of this contest, as Beleza managed to overcome INAC Kobe for the first time in the league in three years. With this win Beleza look very good for second place, while INAC Kobe have certainly lost some of their hunger in recent games. INAC will expect to bounce back strongly against Kibi next weekend, with Beleza travelling up to Sendai knowing another win will see them in a very strong position with one game remaining.

Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies  2 - 4  Vegalta Sendai Ladies
(Attendance: 1,115)

Although they only had five shots in the entire game, Vegalta Sendai Ladies scored four times against Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies to come away with three more valuable points as they look to finish the season as strongly as possible. The opener came by way of an own goal on the half-hour, with Yamamoto Risa scoring her first goal of the season to two minutes later to give Vegalta a 2-0 halftime lead. Tahara Nozomi and Osafune Kana both scored in the second half and with just over twenty minutes remaining the points were secure. Urawa fought back with two late goals from Kohata Shiho - her first of the season - and from Kira Chinatsu. At times Urawa have looked good this season, but on other occasions have been dreadful. Their next game is against Iga, with Vegalta taking on Beleza in an important match at the top.

Speranza FC Osaka Takatsuki  0 - 9  Albirex Niigata Ladies
(Attendance: 525)

Niigata went into this game knowing that a good win would probably be enough to ensure their survival in the Nadeshiko League, though they can't possibly have expected such an overwhelming victory. With Takatsuki now relegated, their will to compete seems to have evaporated entirely and Niigata were able to score almost at will. Two goals in the eleventh and twelfth minute set the tone, with the away side three up by half-time. In the second half six more goals were added, with Oishi Sayaka and Kamionobe Megumi both scoring twice, and there were also goals for Tiffany McCarty, Yamazaki Marumi, Kodama Keiko, Saeki Aya with her first of the season and Takamura Chisato with her first in the Nadeshiko League.

Okayama Yunogo Belle  7 - 1  FC Kibikokusaidaigaku Charme
(Attendance: 2,527)

Having surprisingly taken the lead through top scorer Hamamoto Marin, Kibi were ultimately humiliated by their near neighbours, though it took until the forty-fourth minute for their hosts to equalise through Arimachi Saori. Following the break however, Belle went on a goal spree and along with Arimachi who added two more for her hat-trick, Nakagawa Chihiro, Matsuoka Miki, Nakano Manami and Miyama Aya scored as Belle look to overtake Beleza and reach second place. Kibi now look certain to finish ninth and will soon begin preparing for a play-off.
