Challenge League Fifteenth Round

Sfida Setagaya FC  1 - 0  Je Vrille Kagoshima
(Attendance: 302)

Last week's hat-trick heroine Nagasawa Yume struck again to take her total to seven goals in this, her debut season. A ball knocked goalwards by Fukuhara resulted in a free-for-all and it was Nagasawa who kept her head to score the decisive goal.

Setagaya move into fourth position overnight, just ahead of Tokiwagi, while Kagoshima, who haven't won since June 17th, remain in trouble in ninth place, four points behind Ehime. They next play on August 5th against the impressive JFA Academy.

By half-time the score was 3-0 with two goals from Shimokuzuru and one from Nakahara Saori, taking her season's total to nine. Ito Minako, Sendai's top scorer, did not play in this game having limped off early last week in the match against FC Takahashi.

Sendai continued where they left off in the second half, with another goal for Shimokuzuru coming in the middle of four other goals, two for Koyama and one each for Kakazu and one for Ono.

Sendai's next game is at home to Ehime, whom they also beat 8-0 earlier in the season, while JSCL will feel capable of getting a result against Nagano.

Tokiwagi Gakuen High School  7 - 0  Bunnys Kyoto SC
(Attendance: 100)

Michigami Ayaka wasted no time in giving Tokiwagi the lead against Bunnys Kyoto. Her powerful run down the left wing was too much for her marker and her shot easily beat the onrushing Akiyama. That third minute goal was the first of four for Michigami. Her second came in the ninth minute, which added to Horii Mizuki's first goal of the season in the sixth minute, put the result beyond doubt before Bunnys had even got into their rhythm.

Bunnys composed themselves, reorganised and managed to gain some possession in midfield and defensively they managed to stifle the Tokiwagi attack. However Michigami's third goal in the 38th minute saw the depressed Bunnys side go in 4-0 down at half time.

The rain which has been incessant in the first half stopped for a time in the second half, but Michigami wasn't finished and she scored her fourth in the 51st minute to show off her good form in advance of the U-20 World Cup, the opening games of which take place a short walk from the stadium in which this game was played.

Hirata Miki and Yahata Asuka added two more goals to give Tokiwagi and extremely easy 7-0 win ahead of their trip to Shizuoka while Bunnys face Takahashi looking to shore up their defence.

(Attendance: 350)

Takahashi kept the pressure on Vegalta Sendai at the top with a straightforward 3-1 win over strugglers Nagano. Takano Saki opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a screaming shot into the back of the net with Matsumoto powerless to stop it.

Into the second half and Sugita Ami became Takahashi's sole leading scorer with eight goals. In the 64th minute Nishikawa Asuka, like Takano looking forward to the U-20 World Cup this summer, made it 3-0 and Takahashi were coasting.

In the third minute of additional time, Urasaki Yuka scored a consolation goal for Nagano with what was only her side's second shot at goal in the entire game.
