Challenge League Sixth Round

Bunnys Kyoto SC  1 - 3  Nittaidai Football Club Ladies
(Attendance: 123)

In Saturday's only game Nittaidai went clear of the pack on sixteen points with a straightforward win away to Bunnys. Uemura Shoko both opened and closed the scoring, and her brace takes her to eight goals for the season thus far.

Ito Yukina had doubled Nittaidai's lead on 24 minutes, and it wasn't until the 73rd minute that Bunnys got back into the game, Kawano Maaya with her first ever league goal.

Nittaidai were safe with Uemura's second two minutes later, and they remain clear following Setagaya and Takatsuki's losses on Sunday. They again play in the only match on Saturday, at home to Ange Violet Hiroshima. Bunnys are away to Ehime on Sunday.

Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies  1 - 5  Ehime FC Ladies
(Attendance: 274)

Cerezo Osaka Sakai stay rooted to the bottom as they face a challenge to avoid relegation in their second season. As usual they didn't have a bad start, Hayashi equalising Haruyama's opener as both sides scored early, but they couldn't keep it up and in the second half Ehime ran riot to score four more goals.

Indeed Haruyama ran the show, creating two goals as well as scoring two, her first since rejoining from JEF United. The other three scorers were Kushiyama Saki, Akune Mana and a first of the 2014 season for Ogawa Manami.

Ehime's promotion chances are slim, but they will expect to remain in the top half with a win over Bunnys this weekend. Cerezo Osaka Sakai face the resurgent Fukuoka.

Speranza FC Osaka Takatsuki  0 - 1  Fukuoka J. Anclas
(Attendance: 315)

Another very fine win for Fukuoka against the previously unbeaten Takatsuki has relieved the pressure on Kyushu's only league team while raising doubts about Takatsuki's promotion ambitions.

Just as in last week's surprise win over Nojima, Fukuoka again struck late with the only goal of the game, this time coming from Fujimoto Yuki, her first of the season.

Fukuoka move well clear of the bottom, and it is bottom side Cerezo that they next play at home. Takatsuki, without Maruyama Karina due to her participation in the Asian Cup, will look to recover in the big clash with Nojima.

Ange Violet Hiroshima  1 - 3  Nojima Stella Kanagawa Sagamihara
(Attendance: 710)

Ange Violet advertised the visit of Nojima with reference to the number of goals the opposition both score and concede, but on this occasion the visitors did enough to win, though they again failed to keep a clean sheet.

After a scoreless first half, Minamino Arisa scored the sixth goal of her maiden season, with Yoshimi Natsuki scoring twice in four minutes - with an Enya Mari goal in between - to keep Nojima within touching distance of automatic promotion.

Next weekend's meeting between Nojima and Takatsuki is a test of strength for both sides, with Ange Violet also travelling east to Kanagawa to play leaders Nittaidai on Saturday afternoon.

Tokiwagi Gakuen High School  3 - 0  Shizuoka Sangyo University Iwata Bonita
(Attendance: 200)

Tokiwagi Gakuen recovered from last week's defeat to the JFA Academy to easily see off Shizuoka Sangyo who now have just one win from six games. Kobayashi Rikako scored her first goals this season, having missed the two opening games while away in Costa Rica. Kadowaki Shihomi scored the other goal just before the hour mark to also take her to two for the season.

Tokiwagi move into the top seven but next face a stiffer test away to Setagaya. Shizuoka should have enough to see off local rivals Shimizu Daihachi Pleiades.

Harima's superb start to their first Challenge League campaign continued as they upset the visiting Sfida Setagaya. All three goals came in the first half, with former Belle player Sakai Nozomi scoring her first ever league goal on 17 minutes from a direct free kick, with Setagaya equalising four minutes later, Nagasaki Akane finding the net after a scramble in the box.

Harima won the game with veteran Fujimoto Madoka scoring her second of the season to keep the Hyogo side within three points of leaders Nittaidai, along with four other sides.

Shimizu Daihachi Pleiades  0 - 2  JFA Academy Fukushima
(Attendance: 152)

The JFA Academy played an entirely different side to that which defeated Tokiwagi Gakuen and had no trouble in seeing off Shimizu with a team which largely consisted of very young girls.

It was thirteen-year-old Endo Jun with her first two league goals in the first half which won the game for the Academy, who hadn't far to travel from their temporary base in Gotenba.

Shimizu again look destined to finish in the relegation zone, and next face another local rival, Shizuoka Sangyo who will be heavy favourites. The Academy have a much tougher rival in Nagano.

Shimizu Daihachi Pleiades:

AC Nagano Parceiro Ladies  4 - 0  Japan Soccer College Ladies
(Attendance: 521)

Nagano move into second place on goal difference following this win over the JSCL, who have been disappointing this season. What has not been disappointing has been the scoring prowess of Yokoyama Kumi, and she opened the scoring in the fourth minute - already her eleventh goal of the season.

The contest was over as early as the eighth minute, Hashiura Satsuki with the first of her two goals this afternoon, her second coming seven minutes after half-time. Yajima Yuki has proved a valuable signing from AS Elfen Saitama, and she scored her second in Nagano colours ten minutes from time to give Nagano an impressive victory.

Nagano travel south to face the JFA Academy expecting another three points, with the JSCL at home to Harima.
