22nd All-Japan Women's Inter-Collegiate Championships - First Round

First Round Matches, played on Wednesday 25th of December:

Match 1:
Himeji Dokkyo University  4 - 0  Sendai University
(Attendance: 200)

Sendai University were very disappointing in this match, with Himeji Dokkyo University running out very easy winners. Himeji Dokkyo were two goals up at half-time, scored by Amishiro Anna and Yoshida Saki. In the second half they pulled away convincingly, Yoshida scoring again on 52 minutes with the final goal coming from Mamyou Risako. Himeji Dokkyo next play last year's runners-up Waseda University.

Match 2:
Tokyo International University  7 - 0  Kyushu Kyoritsu University
(Attendance: 30)

In their first Inter-Collegiate Championships, Tokyo International University produced a blistering performance to sweep aside the challenge of Kyushu Kyoritsu University. TIU scored twice in the first half, captain Aizawa Yuri with both goals to settle the newcomers' nerves. In the second half Azuma Asahi scored four goals in nineteen minutes, with a seventh of the day from Teramoto Chiseko. TIU now face the considerable challenge of Shizuoka Sangyo University on Friday.

Match 3:
Tokuyama University  0 - 0  Niigata University of Health and Welfare
Niigata University of Health and Welfare win 5-4 on penalties
(Attendance: 30)

For the second year in a row, Niigata University of Health and Welfare progressed through the first round on penalties, this time by five goals to four after a scoreless draw in which there were few chances to progress to the second round, where they will take on Mukogawa Women's University.

Match 4:
University of Tsukuba  3 - 1  International Pacific University Women's College
(Attendance: 200)

Yamamori Anna gave the Univeristy of Tsukuba the lead on 24 minutes, and although Niwa Mizuho equalised for IPU Women's College on forty-six minutes into the second half, Tsukuba scored twice more through captain Otomo Akane and substiute Tamakoshi Asahi to seal the victory and they now take on their local rivals Kanto Gakuen University.

Match 5:
Yamagata University / Tohoku University of Community Service and Science  0 - 10  Himeji Hinomoto College
(Attendance: 130)

Himeji Hinomoto College had no trouble whatsoever against the combined Yamagata University and Tohoku University of Community Service and Science side, winning with a ten goal margin. Their goals were scored by Arihara Aoba, Uozumi Arisa, Momii Mika, four from Imai Mayura, two from Chiba Sonoko and one was an own goal. Their second round game against Kibi International University will be an entirely different prospect.

Match 6:
Ehime University  0 - 3  Shobi University
(Attendance: 70)

Shobi University set up a Saitama derby against Musashigaoka College with a straightforward 3-0 win over Ehime University. Their scorers were Kobayashi Erina, Uehara Arisa and Orita Aya.
 
Match 7:
Hokuriku University  2 - 0  Sapporo University
(Attendance: 23)

Hokuriku University beat Sapporo University by two goals to nil, their two goals coming from Morita Manae, one in each half. They next play Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences.

Match 8:
Fukuoka University  3 - 0  Shigakkan University
(Attendance: 213)

Fukuoka University took the early lead through Kiyotsuka Mari, and in the second half Tomoda Ayaka added a second. Kiyotsuka scored a third to complete an easy win. Fukuoka next face the champions Nippon Sport Science University.

Niigata University of Health and Welfare versus Mukogawa Women's University

Himeji Hinomoto College versus Kibi International University

Match 14:
Shobi University versus Musashigaoka College

Match 15:
Hokuriku University versus Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences

Match 16:
Fukuoka University versus Nippon Sport Science University
