Nadeshiko League Tenth Round

Okayama Yunogo Belle  2 - 0  Iga FC Kunoichi
(Attendance: 1,206)

There was no repeat of the shock 1-0 loss by Okayama Yunogo Belle today, as their recovery continues. Matsuoka Miki was again the Belle heroine, as she first followed up on a dreadful error by Kuno in the Kunoichi goal for the first in the first half, and in the second she was again on target in the second as Belle took all three points to move into third position overnight. The Kunoichi have slipped back to fifth, and will need to recover well against Vegalta Sendai, who have now overtaken them. Belle are away to Urawa and their recent good form will give them huge confidence.

INAC Kobe Leonessa  4 - 0  Albirex Niigata Ladies
(Attendance: 5,630)

Having held INAC Kobe to two scoreless draws in the League Cup, whatever hopes Niigata held for a repeat performance today in Kumamoto were extinguished early when Beverly Goebel-Yanez, top scorer in both League and League Cup, fired past Koganemaru in the Niigata goal after just eleven minutes. With a second coming from Ji So Yun from a free kick just before half-time, the result was never going to be doubt and in the last fifteen minutes INAC Kobe pulled away, with another fine strike from Goebel-Yanez into the corner of the net followed up by a late strike from Takase Megumi, though Koganemaru was furious that she didn't get enough on the ball to deflect it wide. Niigata's players did put in some good performances, with Kamionobe notable in her efforts, but it was never going to be enough to stop the runaway leaders. Kinga Yukari and Miyake Shiori both made their first league starts of the season, the former having come back from injury in the latter stages of the League Cup and the latter having impressed in the same competition. INAC Kobe remain eight points clear and the only real remaining question is whether they will win all eighteen games. Niigata slip down to seventh, but remain six points clear. They take on second-placed Beleza on Saturday, INAC Kobe visit Takatsuki.

Vegalta Sendai Ladies  4 - 0  FC Kibikokusaidaigaku Charme
(Attendance: 791)

Two late goals added gloss to the scoreline as Vegalta Sendai outplayed FC Kibikokusaidaigaku Charme in dreadful conditions in Rifu today, with all four scorers producing their first league goals of the season. From the kickoff Vegalta went on the attack, and it was only a matter of time before they scored. Tahara Nozomi in her first league start found the top right hand corner of the net with a perfect strike, but thereafter Kibi came more into the game and withstood the pressure. Following the break Kibi went on the offensive and Vegalta were on the back foot, but when Uetsuji Yumi was fouled outside the Kibi area, she herself stepped up to score past Morimoto, the ball missing everyone on the way through. Kibi's heads dropped with this goal and though they did create chances, Amano Misaki was equal to them. A breakaway goal for Yasumoto Sawako was followed by a headed goal at the death by captain Shimokozuru from another dangerous Uetsuji free kick. With Muramatsu still out injured, Kibi will be focussing on defending set plays this week before their trip to Chiba. Vegalta Sendai travel to Iga in high spirits.

NTV Beleza  3 - 1  Speranza FC Osaka Takatsuki

(Attendance: 939)

Beleza had a relatively straightforward win over bottom side Takatsuki today to remain eight points behind leaders INAC Kobe. Sakaguchi Mizuho has excelled since returning to the starting lineup and she was on target again today, giving the home side the lead after twelve minutes. That was her fourth of the league campaign and young Momiki Yuka also scored her fourth of the season, giving Beleza a handy 2-0 lead on 29 minutes. Takatsuki struck back on 62 minutes through Sato Kaede but an equaliser was not to materialise, the diminutive Nakasato Yu scoring her third as a substitute this season. Beleza travel to Niigata on Saturday confident of victory, with Takatsuki looking to limit the damage against INAC Kobe at home.

Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies  0 - 2  JEF United Ichihara Chiba Ladies
(Attendance: 991)

Urawa's miserable season continued today in appaling conditions in Saitama. JEF United are a better side this season, and will be delighted with this third win of the year over Urawa.
