Two games will be played outside of the normal schedule in the Challenge League, both featuring Tokiwagi Gakuen.
Nittaidai Football Club Ladies 1 - 1 Tokiwagi Gakuen High School
(Attendance: 90)
Tokiwagi Gakuen travelled south without their three Under-17 World Cup players Ito, Shiraki and Nishikawa, but their only change was to bring in Kawasaki for Horii. Nittaidai made several changes from their last game in July, bringing back top scorer Uemura, along with Yamagata, Nagashima and Ishii.
In terms of posession and chances, Nittaidai were the dominant team with Uemura as expected leading the line well. After a scoreless first half, Tokiwagi took the lead in the 52nd minute with a penalty from Hirata. Eight minutes later Nittaidai equalised with their own penalty, converted by Shimada, to bring her total this season to seven.
Nittaidai and Tokiwagi stay third and fifth respectively, and Tokiwagi can close the gap between themselves and Setagaya if they beat the Tokyo club next Sunday evening. Nittaidai's next game is away to promotion chasing Takahashi in two weeks' time.

Tokiwagi Gakuen High School 1 - 3 Sfida Setagaya FC
(Attendance: 50)
Sfida Setagaya kept their slim hopes of a playoff place alive with a 3-1 win in Matsushima over Tokiwagi Gakuen. Michigami Ayaka had given Tokiwagi the lead in the thirteenth minute before Tanaka Mariko equalised just three minutes later. Tanaka Marina gave Setagaya the lead with a powerful shot through twenty players from a well-worked free kick and midway through the second half Sasago Masae scored only her second of the season following confusion between goalkeeper and defenders in the Tokiwagi goalmouth.
Setagaya must now hope that Nittaidai can get a result against Takahashi next weekend, as a win for Takahashi will see them cement their place in the top two, ahead of their visit to Setagaya. Tokiwagi next play the JFA Academy on the same day, the 21st of October.
