Japan Ladies Soccer League 1993

The league underwent the first major changes to its format for the 1993 season, which ran from May 2nd until November 28th. The first of these changes was that schedule was divided into two stages, with the winner of each stage meeting in a final deciding match.

The second change was the removal of drawn games. Matches lasted eighty minutes, with an extra twenty minutes of sudden death V-Goal (Golden Goal) extra time to be played in the event of a tied score. If there was no winning V-Goal scored, the game went to a penalty shoot-out.

Shinko Seiko FC Clair were renamed as TOKYO SHiDAX LSC.

Nissan FC Ladies withdrew from the league at its conclusion, and were replaced by Urawa Motobuto Ladies FC who won the JLSL Challenge League.

In the tables below, scorelines in parentheses indicate the results of penalty shoot-outs. Games decided as a result of a V-Goal are indicated by vg. In the league tables, the 80 mins column indicates the number of victories achieved in the normal eighty minute period.
